What’s Your Design Style?

Posted February 05, 2009 in Decor.

It’s Ciara here and I just did a test on my design style and I love the results. You can read them below and take the test yourself here

FATALE ATTRACTION

Your home oozes glamour and romance. It’s fabulous, sexy and sophisticated (just like you, non?!). Of course, you can have too much of a good thing, and sometimes holding back will create more impact than going hell for leather. You love life, and your home is perfect for good times and having fun.

Living Room

You are drawn to all things that combine beauty with adventure. This is a high-octane, unabashed, sensual look that encompasses everything that’s luxurious, voluptuous and curvaceous. Think rich fabrics, textured materials and glossy surfaces. While glamour makes a big, bold statement, it also smacks of total comfort and fun. Masculine accessories, will make a striking counterpoint, allowing an outstanding, statement piece of furniture to take centre-stage. Vibrant, jewel-like colours command attention while heavy leathers add gravitas and grandeur. With a living room like yours, it’s no wonder family and friends love popping round to see you.

Bedroom

Your bedroom has that classic look that never goes out of style. Sleep is fundamentally important to our well being. In busy towns and cities, noise can often hamper a good night’s sleep. Soft furnishings really do absorb sound, and touch is such an important sense in the bedroom, from crisp, linen sheets to wool or even sheepskin underfoot. Elegance and relative simplicity are keynotes in your bedroom, using rich, chocolate browns to create a warm and cosy escape from the rest of the world.

Dining Room

You’re a home-lover, bringing a light, feminine touch to mealtimes. At home, you bring a particular sensibility to your dining space: everything is spot on, without being pretentious, unwelcoming or fussy. You’re a home-maker par excellence, and mealtimes are the perfect occasion for bringing everyone together, or just treating yourself. If you like pattern, especially floral designs, be careful not to overdo it: there’s a fine line between beguiling feminine charms and gilding the lily. When it comes to entertaining, you love gutsy, wholesome, seasonal food.

Home Office

Your home office is formal and sober. Even the most dedicated workaholic and hard-core party animal has bills to pay. An allocated home office or ‘work station’ makes mundane book-keeping as painless as possible. Clean, simple lines and an absence of clutter suit the home office very well – but don’t neglect to introduce an element of your own personality to the space, even if it’s nothing more than a favourite photograph in an elegant frame.

Conclusion

Your lust for life and having a good time shines through in every room of your home.
